DKC August schedule & 2-Day Retreat

Here is a look at what programs are coming up for August at Drikung Kyobpa Choling Onilne and In-Person. Please visit DKC Website calendar for more details. Thank you.

Saturday evenings 6:30pm to 7:30pm Dharma practice (Online and In-Person)

August 5th Led by Khenpo Tenzin, Chenrezig practice, the Buddha of Loving Kindness and Compassion

August 12th Led by Khenpo Tenzin, Vajrasatva, the Buddha of purification for the Body, Speech and Mind

August 19th Led by Ani Tanzin, Medicine Buddha, the Buddha for Healing at all levels
August 26th Led by Khenpo Tenzin, Dharma Protectors and White Dzambala

Aug. 26 & 27 Special 2-Day Shamata (Calm Abiding) meditation and Deity Yoga Retreat. 10am to 5pm daily. Some overnight accommodations are available. Please send us an email or call to sign up. You may attend 1 day or both days as your time permits. This is a wonderful opportunity for more time spent on meditation and inner reflection. There will be a fee for overnight stay and suggested donation for the retreat.

The meditation retreat will include daily meditations instruction and practice led by Khenpo Tenzin, with assistance from Ani Chodron and Ani Tanzin. Saturday evening Dharma Protectors and White Dzambala practice. Saturday Deity Yoga focus and mantra recitation of Green Tara (the Buddha of Enlightened actives and protection for overcoming fears and illness). Sunday Deity Yoga focus and mantra recitation of Chenrezig (the Buddha of Loving Kindness and Compassion).

Sunday morning 9am to 10:30am PT (Online and In-Person)

August 6th Dharma teachings by Khenpo Tenzin, on the Jewel Ornament of Liberation

August 13th Dharma teachings by Khenpo Tenzin, subject to be announced

August 20th Practice session with focus on Manjushri, the Buddha of wisdom, led by Ani Tanzin,


August 27th (all day session 10am to 5pm) Led by Khenpo Tenzin, Shamata Retreat & Deity Yoga practice
