About Drikung Kyobpa Choling

Drikung Kyobpa Choling is a 501(c)3 non-profit religious organization. Drikung Kyobpa Choling was founded in 1996 by Drupon Samten Rinpoche, under the guidance of His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsung. We are dedicated to providing the opportunity for all individuals to have a place of refuge, solitude, and tranquility, and to experience the teachings and philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism. Additionally, our goal is to support the Tibetan community, preserve the ancient Tibetan culture, and to maintain the traditional teachings as taught by The Buddha and the great masters of India and Tibet.

The meditation retreat facility is available from time to time for individual and small group retreat.

Drupon Samten Rinpoche, DKC monastics and our wonderful Tibetan artist have completed all the detailed artwork for the Stupas. We were very fortunate and blessed to have His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang consecrate the stupas in 2019.

There are a total of 8 stupas representing the 8 major deeds in the life of the Buddha. They are located on the hill top with beautiful surrounding views where the blessings of these holy objects emanate for the benefit of world peace and spiritual inspiration for everyone both near and far.

The beautiful and spacious surrounding monastery grounds give support to a sense of refuge, peace and serenity. This sacred land is filled with flowers, fruits, trees and lots of birds.

We are very grateful to have had many high lamas give empowerments, teachings, meditations and their blessings in our shrineroom and we can all look forward to more to come.
